Urban Decay Ammo Eyeshadow Palette Review Swatches

Urban Decay Ammo Eyeshadow Palette Review Swatches

Urban Decay (lovingly called as UD)which is known for it’s eyeshadow palettes has always interested me. To start off, I am not a neutral palette lover and when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I prefer a palette with vivid colors and I like to have variety. Also, that particular day Urban Decay has a quick sale and this palette was on sale. I just had to grab it. Thanks to my friend in USA 🙂 so, lets get into the review of Urban Decay Ammo Eyeshadow Palette

You can buy it here

ABOUT:
A relaunch of one of our most iconic palettes EVER, this set features ten best-selling shadow shades—from neutral to vivid to all-out smoky. A revamped version of our Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box, this baby mixes the best of old-school UD (ten all-time best-selling shades) and new (our longest-lasting shadow formula EVER). It comes fully loaded with TEN shades no Urban Decay junkie should be without–from neutral to vivid to all-out smoky. Pair up the vertically color-coordinated duos or channel your inner artist to create multihued looks that are all your own.
Every Eyeshadow features our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.
If you’re a hard-core UD junkie, you probably already noticed that we reworked the design elements from the original palette. This version features a metallic purple skull on the front, intricately woven out of animals, flowers, pistols, swords and other UD elements. Inside, skulls, snakes and flowers collide to create a dreamy backdrop for the mesmerizing array of shadows. We also replaced the old sponge-tip applicator with a shadow brush and added a travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion—to keep whatever looks you dream up vibrant and crease-free around the clock.

MY TAKE:
So the palette has 10 eyeshadows and the signature UD brush. I didn’t like the brush as it can only be used as smudging brush and I can’t really use it as an applicator. The eyeshadows are very pigmented and name of the shadow is mentioned below every eyeshadow. The palette is travel friendly.

Smog – This is a deep coppery bronze shimmery shade that is more like a neutral shade on my dusky skin. This can be used as a highlighter or like a transition shade.
Mildew – This is a mossy green with gold shimmer .
Oil Slick – This is a black matte with silver micro-glitter. This is one of the best black eyeshadows I have seen. Very pigmented and is perfect for the smokey eyes.
Last Call – This is a metallic plum shade that looks like dusky mauve on my skin.
Chopper – This is a copper shimmer with silver micro-glitter. Again my favorite shade from the palette.
Maui Wowie – This is a metallic golden beige with silver glitter. This is a very pretty shade that suits any kind of look.
Shattered – This is a turquoise shimmer with gold shift. This is a dualchrome eyeshadow that adds nice sheen to the eyes. I would love to pair this with Oil slick.
Polyester Bride – This is a white snow shimmer with silver micro-glitter. This is my least favorite shade from the palette as I am still not sure of how to use this.
Grifter – This is again a sheer lavender shimmer w/silver micro-glitter. The shade is too sheer if you use it without a good primer.
Sin – This is the basic champagne shimmer which I am sure is a favorite of many eyemakeup lovers.

LIKES:
Amazing pigmentation.
Affordable eyeshadow palette.
Collection of 10 pretty eyeshadows.
Perfect for smokey eyes and night time eye makeup.
DISLIKES:
Lot of shimmer and has severe fallout. I would have loved more if the palette has at least one or two matte/satin eyeshadows because this palette has all the 10 shades which are shimmery.

MY RATING: ★★★

FINAL WORDS:

[dropshadowbox align=”none” effect=”lifted-both” width=”auto” height=”” background_color=”#fdefef” border_width=”1″ border_color=”#60cf90″ ]Urban Decay gave us the gems of Eyeshadow Palettes by naming them Naked Series. Going with the flow, every eyeshadow love would want to own all the palettes from this brand but AMMO palette is truly an exception as this palette has only shimmery eyeshadows and there is a lot of fallout.[/dropshadowbox]
