Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Matt Review

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Matt Review

I am a self-confessed Korean Skincare/Makeup addict. Can’t stop loving anything and everything about Korea, South ahem.! Ok, I am going to talk about Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Matte Lipstick, but first. The obsession started with a drama called, “Boys Over Flowers” and it never stopped but only grew more. I am a K-POP lover and K-Drama means the world to me. They are just oh-so-cute, they make me forget the world and the harsh reality. Being a makeup junky, I was drawn towards their makeup/skincare techniques naturally. I bought makeup first but realized that not many of them would suit my dusky Indian skin, shifted to their skincare. Then, I tried their whole skincare regimen from various websites and I love them to bits.

Anyway, for this post, let me share a quick review about a lipstick. It is from my favorite Korean Makeup brand, Etude House. I love the brand majorly because of the cuteness overload and the makeup choices are great too.

About the lipsticks:

The Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk is a collection of eight lipsticks (currently, June 2018). They have three formulas and they are Matte, Chiffon, and Jelly. I have added the screen capture below to get a better idea. The matte lipsticks are true red shades and the chiffon has a variety of shades ranging from pink, orange, and berry. Formula wise, its a kind of Jelly and is new and they have neutral pink shades. The collection is quite interesting, you can check other variants and products on  Etude House Website

The Shade

I got this matte shade and as expected, it is very drying. I have shared the swatches below (my camera didn’t pick the right shade at all). It is a very beautiful pinky coral shade and screams summer/spring. Since it is a very bright shade, I usually tap it on my lips and not apply directly and glide it. It also settles into the fine lines of the lips so exfoliating the lips before wearing the lipstick is a must.

The shade that I got was PK025, it means my lipstick shades falls under the family of pinks. Coming to the package, as you can see, the lipstick comes in a super cute baby pink bullet and has a design on it. The quantity is great too, you get 3.4gms of lipstick which I may take 2 years to finish lol. The brands say that it can be used as a normal lipstick or use it on the outer lips to create a gradient effect. I realized that the gradient (just-bitten) lips trend only suits the Koreans as I majorly failed to try to recreate the look.

Contrary to the usual longevity of the matte lipsticks, this lipstick doesn’t last very long. It goes off with a couple of drinks and a meal. It is not a must-have if you have a color like this with you. Also, for the people outside the US and Korea, getting hold of this lipstick/brand can be tricky. Thanks to Amazon for stocking these up.

Overall, it is a very nice everyday lip color and I love it because of the package and its Korean roots.
