Patanjali Kesh Kanti Reetha Hair Cleanser Review

Patanjali has always been special to me, may be because it’s an Indian brand and it is known to be all natural. I am slowly following the path of ‘Less is More’ and I’m currently more focused on improving my skin’s condition. Currently my skin is acne free, touch wood. But I have post acne scars that needs my attention. I am aiming to achieve that in the coming days and don’t be surprised if you see lot of skin care product reviews here on Perks Of Beauty.

MY TAKE:
I have thin fine hair. My hair is color treated, smoothened and is very weak. Recently I started a new hair care regime where I am using only the natural products and avoiding all the fancy brands which I used to love. So I ended up getting the Patanjali Shampoo and their newly launched conditioner. I will talk about the conditioner later.
Coming to the shampoo, the shampoo comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip open cap. The shampoo is in black color and the consistency is semi runny. A little goes a long way as you need very little shampoo to rinse your hair.
I started this new step before shampooing my hair i.e. I started applying oil to my hair a day before my head bath. Patanjali Reetha shampoo works like magic on oiled hair and I only need to wash once and the hair becomes clean and oil free. I do not comment on hairfall reduction as I totally understand that changing a shampoo will not be responsible for hair loss/growth all of a sudden. But, I did observe that there is comparatively less hairfall may be because of the vitamins or may be because patanjali shampoo has less chemicals. Either ways, I can’t comment on it. I finish my hair wash routine by applying the Patanjali Hair Conditioner and wash it off. The hair does become soft, shiny and bouncy which I totally love.
At the same time, I have tried without applying oil for which I was surprised to see that this Patanjali Reetha Hair Cleanser doesn’t really make my hair clean but also dry. It kind of strips out the oil from the hair making it a bit dry and I must deep condition my hair to get back to my natural silky hair. On a side note, it looks like the shampoo added some volume to your otherwise flat hair 😀

PROS:
1. Thoroughly cleanses the hair.
2. Makes it soft, shiny and bouncy.
3. Little goes a long way.
4. Affordable.
5. Easily available now online & offline.

CONS:
1.If you do not oil your hair, this shampoo may make your hair a bit dry.

MY RATING:
★★★★

FINAL WORDS:

[dropshadowbox align=”none” effect=”lifted-both” width=”auto” height=”” background_color=”#f7e5ea” border_width=”1″ border_color=”#6ee5bc” ]Patanjali Reetha Hair Cleanser AKA shampoo is one of the best shampoos that are available in India. Kudos to less chemicals and healthy hair care routine.[/dropshadowbox]

This sounds like a nice hair cleanser. I normally prefer mild shampoos, but when I oily my hair I need something stronger and this fits the bill.
